The
watercolors of Carolyn Majewski are truly a "return to the heart".
Carolyn studied at the Ringling School of Art in Sarasota, Fl. Over the next 18
years she pursued careers in both retail and real estate. Her hectic schedule
left little time for her art.
A few years ago, Carolyn decided to open a studio, and paint full time. As her
reputation has grown, so has her client base. Recent portrait commissions have
come from Philadelphia and New York, and across the ocean from Ireland and
Switzerland as well. Carolyn has also been dedicated to the development of the
Atlanta fine arts community, in 2002 served as editor of the Atlanta Artists'
Center Magazine and held the office of President of the Atlanta
Artists Center in 2003.
Carolyn's subjects range from portraits of children and pets, to boats,
seascapes and homes. Carolyn's work is marked by meticulous attention to detail,
perfectly capturing the character of a home or the smile on a baby's face.
Watercolors are a most challenging medium for this precision, but Carolyn
thrives on this challenge. Her work has convinced her that real success comes
when you follow your heart.
